In a season where things were made up as they went along, including but not limited to replacement Oregon winning a Power 5 conference and setting other dangerous precedents for the legitimacy of the sport set all across the board, I can't roll my eyes hard enough at the outrage (whether that outrage is performative or genuine) over the four playoff teams selected in a season where there's probably only one playoff team, nor the bowl season at large.

And calls for change is the same short-sighted knee-jerk reactions that led the BCS to no longer be fit for purpose.  All seasons are in a vacuum and this one especially, and sometimes almost literally given a lot of empty stadiums.
